From Data Sharing Summit
Our purpose is to provide gathering spaces in which all parties can work together on the challenge of data sharing. We create the agenda the day it happens.
Data Sharing Summit 2
Thank you for attending the Second Data Sharing Summit on May 15th. We plan to have another Summit in September, and will post details about it in a couple months.
This event followed the Sixth Internet Identity Workshop at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View CA. The event focused on technical work and on opportunities for vendors with solutions in this space to share and connect with potential adopters of Data Sharing tools.
The Summit opened with a conversation about Data Sharing and "What could go wrong?" Participants included Bob Blakley, Daniela Barbosa, Joseph Smarr, Ken Kovash, Mary Hodder, and Marc Canter.
We are still in the process of collecting all of the session summaries and posting the details on the wiki. If you ran a session, please add or update the appropriate session on the Notes page.
One of the most interesting developments was the creation of the Service Providers Matrix. Special thanks to Daniela Barbosa for capturing the content of the Grid and finding a home for it.
We have created pages for the different data sharing technologies and initiatives. Please update the content on these pages.

Data Sharing Workshop April 18-19, 2008
The workshop on April 18-19 was a success. We opened with What is the Problem and Where are we? Nine different industry innovators and influencers spoke. There has been a lot of progress since the first meeting of the community at the first Data Sharing Summit in September.
'Results' from each of the sessions were recorded and are posted on the Notes page.
Thank you to the SFSU Center for Next Generation Internet for allowing us to use their space.
